The Cart and Wagon Shed provides community rooms for hire to members of the general public and community organisations.

Rooms are available seven days a week between 9.00am and 7.45pm Monday to Saturday and 10.00am and 4.30pm on Sundays and Bank Holidays.

The largest space is the John Budge Community Room which can accommodate 50 people sitting theatre-style and other capacities depending on the activity. The room is regularly used by playgroups and mother-and-baby groups and for yoga and pilates classes, keep-fit sessions, staff meetings and art exhibitions. The room can be divided into two smaller spaces which can be hired separately.

There is also a boardroom which can be used for private meetings. It features a boardroom table with six upholstered chairs with the possibility of additional seating.

Hirers can set up rooms with tables and chairs from the stock held onsite. There is free wifi and access to the adjacent free Council car park during its opening hours. Hirers are able to order food and drink from Serendipity Cafe.

Hire rates are £17 per hour for the entire John Budge Community Room and £12 per hour for half of that room or the boardroom.
